Rocky Mount’s Main Street revitalization program, after years of being in second-tier affiliate status, is back at the first-tier accredited status.
N.C. Main Street & Rural Planning Center Director Liz Parham, in email correspondence Friday, confirmed the return of Rocky Mount’s Main Street program to a level not seen since 2017. Parham is an N.C. Commerce Department official who works with downtown redevelopment efforts throughout North Carolina.
“I think it’s a distinction that’s incredibly important — and I think people look at that when they come to be partners with us in development within the city of Rocky Mount,” Roberson said. “To have that back is something that I think is just absolutely fantastic.”
