FY 2021-2022 BUDGET ORDINANCE AND AMENDMENTS TO FEES AND CHARGES

Item 10: Consideration of FY 2021-2022 Budget Ordinance and Amendments to Fees and Charges:
a. FY 2021-2022 Budget Ordinance – establishes appropriations for FY 2021-2022; and sets ad valorem tax rate at $0.685 per $100 of taxable assessed value; same tax rate as current fiscal year
b. Amendments to Fees and Charges:
1. Police Department:
• Policy No. X.6.1 Entitled “Animal Control Fees” – adds $5 fee for rabies vaccination of adopted animals
2. Department of Public Works:
• Policy No. X.8.3 Entitled “Rollout Container Disposal and Exemption Fee” – increases
rollout container disposal fee by $3/month to expand services to include year-round leaf
collection and litter disposal crews
• Policy No. X.8.5 Entitled “Solid Waste Transfer Station Tipping Fee” – increases fees to
accommodate 3.6% increase in solid waste disposal contract fee
c. Department of Human Resources: View
1. Amendments to Position Classification and Pay Plan (FY 2022 budget includes funding for
13 new positions)

Recommended Action: 1) Adopt FY 2021-2022 Budget Ordinance;
2) Adopt Resolution Amending Fees and Charges Listed Above; and
3) Adopt Resolution Approving Amendments to Position and Classification Plan
