Carolina Connector intermodal awarded 2022 Mobi Award for Best Urban Project
The Carolina Connector intermodal facility in Rocky Mount is a partnership with NCDOT, CSX & Carolinas Gateway Partnership. It was awarded the 2022 Mobi Award for best Urban Project.
The facility, that opened for business in November 2021, allows trucks to bring cargo containers to a rail yard, where they are transferred to trains for transport.
