Barley & Burger moves to larger location

The Rocky Mount Barley & Burger restaurant, which was in space at the Shoppes At Stoney Creek off Zebulon Road, is reopening at 11 a.m. today in larger space at the intersection of Gateway Boulevard and Curtis Ellis Drive.

The restaurant will be in the Gateway building and close to a set of brand-name hotels that are in proximity to UNC Health Nash and to the U.S. 64 interchange for North Winstead Avenue.

Mayor Sandy Roberson, in a phone interview Tuesday afternoon, said that he believes Barley & Burger is a great establishment and has been a good corporate neighbor in Rocky Mount.

“And I really appreciate the jobs they’ve created, the experience that they are providing for us,” Roberson said. “And the food, I think, is just pretty doggone good.”

Roberson said that while he believes the restaurant was in a good location off Zebulon, the new location is primed with opportunities for the count of customers to be much greater.

“I am personally excited to go out there and check out their new location,” he said.

Barley & Burger is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.

The phone number for the new location is (252) 443-7339, and online orders can be placed via the restaurant’s website at barleyandburger.com.
